Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what information SmartCard Platform collects, why, and how it is used, based on the features actually implemented in the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Account information (name, email, hashed password, preferred language, timezone); company and team information (company name, team members, assigned roles and permissions); digital card content (photo, job title, contact links, social profiles); CRM data you enter (contacts, leads, opportunities, notes, and attachments); interaction logs from public card pages (NFC taps, and clicks on call/WhatsApp/email/website links, used for the Analytics feature); and subscription and billing information — payment card details themselves are handled directly by our payment processor, Stripe, and are never stored on our servers.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to operate and improve the Service, to authenticate accounts and enforce permission-based access within your company, to display your published digital card to its visitors, to show you analytics about interactions with your own cards, to process subscription billing, and to communicate service-related notices to you.
3. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. Data is shared only with: Stripe, to process subscription payments; and other members of your own company, to the extent your company's roles and permissions grant them access — data belonging to one company is never exposed to another company using the Service.
4. Public Card Visibility
Information you choose to include on a published digital card (name, title, contact links) is publicly visible to anyone who opens the card's link or taps its NFC tag. Only include information on a public card that you intend to share publicly.
5. Data Retention
We retain account and company data for as long as the account remains active. If you close your account, associated data is removed or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required to comply with a legal obligation.
6. Your Rights
You may access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting support@smartcardplatform.com or, where the feature is available, directly from your account settings.
7. Security
We apply reasonable technical measures — including password hashing, role-based access control, and company-scoped data isolation — to protect information against unauthorized access. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
